Acceptable Use Policy for ONEPROOF Mobile Drivers License/ID Verification Applications
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to the Oneproof INC ("ONEPROOF") Mobile Drivers License/ID Verify mobile, web services and, web-based and cloud-hosted commercial product applications (the "Services") and governs acceptable use of the Services by customers and end-users (collectively "Users") as well as credential and mobile ID holders ("Individuals"). This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Use. Use of the Services constitutes agreement and consent to comply with this AUP.
ONEPROOF is committed to providing secure, reliable identity verification services while maintaining the integrity of our platform and protecting all users. This AUP outlines the standards of conduct expected from all Users and the consequences for violations.
1. Permitted Uses
The Services are designed for legitimate identity verification and authentication purposes. Permitted uses include:
Verifying the authenticity of government-issued identification documents
Authenticating user identity for legitimate business purposes
Age verification for age-restricted services or content
Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance
Identity verification for financial services, healthcare, e-commerce, and other regulated industries
Employee identity verification and background screening
Access control for secure facilities or systems
2. Prohibited Uses and Activities
Users are strictly prohibited from using the Services for any of the following purposes or activities:
2.1 Illegal Activities
Any activity that violates local, state, national, or international laws or regulations
Identity theft, fraud, or impersonation of another person or entity
Money laundering, terrorist financing, or other financial crimes
Circumventing sanctions, embargos, or other legal restrictions
2.2 Misuse of Verification Services
Attempting to verify fraudulent, altered, or counterfeit documents
Using the Services to verify documents for unauthorized individuals
Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract proprietary algorithms
Creating false or misleading verification results
2.3 Privacy and Data Protection Violations
Collecting, storing, or sharing personal information without proper consent
Using verified information for purposes beyond the original verification intent
Selling, transferring, or sharing verification data with unauthorized third parties
Retaining personal information longer than necessary or legally permitted
2.4 System Abuse and Security Violations
Attempting to gain unauthorized access to ONEPROOF systems, networks, or data
Introducing viruses, malware, or other malicious code
Conducting denial-of-service attacks or other disruptive activities
Excessive API calls or automated requests designed to overwhelm our systems
Bypassing or attempting to circumvent security measures
2.5 Discrimination and Harmful Content
Using verification results to discriminate based on protected characteristics
Harassment, stalking, or threatening behavior toward individuals
Creating or distributing harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
3. User Responsibilities
All Users are responsible for:
Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in their jurisdiction
Obtaining proper consent before verifying another individual's identity
Implementing appropriate data security measures to protect verification results
Using verification services only for their intended business purposes
Promptly reporting any suspected misuse or security incidents
Maintaining accurate account information and credentials
4. Monitoring and Compliance
ONEPROOF reserves the right to:
Monitor usage patterns and verify compliance with this AUP
Investigate suspected violations and request additional information
Implement technical measures to prevent misuse of the Services
Cooperate with law enforcement and regulatory authorities as required
Update security measures and usage restrictions as needed
5. Consequences of Violations
Violations of this AUP may result in one or more of the following consequences:
Warning: Formal notice of violation with requirement to cease prohibited activity
Service Restriction: Temporary limitation of access to certain features or functionality
Service Suspension: Temporary suspension of all Services pending investigation
Service Termination: Permanent termination of access to all Services
Legal Action: Referral to law enforcement or pursuit of civil remedies
Account Suspension: Temporary or permanent suspension of user accounts
ONEPROOF reserves the right to take immediate action without prior notice in cases of severe violations or security threats.
6. Industry-Specific Compliance
Users in regulated industries must ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations, including but not limited to:
Financial services: Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, FFIEC guidelines
Healthcare: HIPAA, HITECH Act, and other medical privacy regulations
Government: FISMA, FedRAMP, and other federal security requirements
International: GDPR, PIPEDA, and other global privacy laws
7. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it immediately to:

All reports will be investigated promptly and confidentially.

9. Changes to this Policy
ONEPROOF will occasionally update this Acceptable Use Policy. The latest version of the Acceptable Use Policy can be found at Acceptable Use Policy | ONEPROOF. Continued use of the Services after any changes to this Acceptable Use Policy constitutes consent to the revised policy.
