ONEPROOF Unveils EDGE Hardware for Mobile Driver License, Mobile ID, and EUDI Wallet Verification
CHICAGO, ILL, USA. – January 14, 2026 – ONEPROOF today announced EDGE, an enterprise grade hardware verification platform that integrates mobile driver license, EUDI wallet verification into existing workstations, kiosks, and access control systems.
EDGE is a USB Type-C powered terminal that validates credentials through NFC, QR codes, and Bluetooth. Powered and connected through a single cable to any workstation or laptop, EDGE eliminates additional power requirements. Built on Linux with 4GB RAM, EDGE functions as a computing node that eliminates workflow disruption and data silos.

The Linux OS enables enterprises to deploy custom software stacks alongside or instead of ONEPROOF's verification software. Organizations can run applications built in Node.js, .NET, Python, or any Linux compatible framework directly on the device. This architecture ensures EDGE can adapt to evolving identity standards and support new protocols as they emerge, providing a future proof platform that protects infrastructure investments.
Enterprises maintain full root access to the operating system. For federal government and high security environments, EDGE supports air-gapped deployments where system integrators manage updates internally. For OEM partners, EDGE is available as an embeddable module or complete standalone device. The device supports ISO 18013-5 (mDL) and ISO 18013-7 MDOC based protocols with Secure Boot, encrypted storage, and comprehensive audit logging.
EDGE serves system integrators, enterprises, businesses, and government agencies across diverse applications including age verification, travel and transportation, entertainment venues, retail, bars and restaurants, banking, federal and state government services, corporate enterprises, and casinos. The platform supports deployments from 200 to 10,000+ units with centralized management capabilities.
The device supports ISO 18013-5 (mDL) and ISO 18013-7 MDOC based protocols with Secure Boot, encrypted storage, and comprehensive audit logging.

"Working in close partnership with our customers, we developed EDGE to focus on integration, not just verification," said Madhu Goundla, CEO at ONEPROOF. "EDGE gives system integrators and enterprises full control to build the workflow their customers need."
EDGE is available in two configurations: the embeddable module at $299 per unit or the complete device with casing at $349 per unit. A $25 annual support fee applies. Volume discounts are available for enterprise deployments. Both configurations ship immediately with developer kits for system integrators and OEM partners.
